Photo Journalism: The Problem Solving process consists of a sequence of sections that fit together depending on the type of problem to be solved. These are:
  • Problem Definition.
  • Problem Analysis.
  • Generating possible Solutions.
  • Analyzing the Solutions.
  • Selecting the best Solution(s).
  • Planning the next course of action (Next Steps)

    Define and Identify the Problem

This first step is critical.  It is essential for each group member to clearly understand the problem so that all energy will be focused in the same direction.  A good way to define the problem is to write down a concise statement which summarizes the problem, and then write down where you want to be after the problem has been resolved.  The objective is to get as much information about the problem as possible.  It may be helpful to divide the symptoms of the problem into  hard  and soft  data.

    Six Steps to Decision Making
    - Be Alert
    -
Gather Information and Do Not Jump to Conclusions
    -
    State The Case Briefly
    -
What Decisions Have to Be Made?
    -
    By Whom?

Week 3: Monday, January 10, 2011

Today we worked in Adobe Illustrator creating the flower icon. This was a new experience for me.
We used tools such as: Stroke, Fill, Gradient and colour. we needed to use the pen tool to draw a series of straight and curvy lines to create the flower petals. Next we needed to remove the stroke/ outline.
Unfortunately i did not complete this project today, and should have it posted tomorrow.

Today we worked in Flash.
We made a animation of a ball bouncing, and used tools such as stage, oval, colour, and tween.
I have expanded my knowledge in flash and now know how to do things such as increasing or decreasing the speed and changing the colour. I hope to expand my knowledge in this area. I animated key frame by keyframe then i used motion to animate the object. I have attached my draft of a "bouncing ball"
